Policy on Research Misconduct
The International Journal of Digital Twin Systems and Computing (IJDTSC) is fully committed to maintaining the highest standards of academic integrity. We strictly oppose and actively work to prevent all forms of research misconduct, including but not limited to:
- Plagiarism
- Data fabrication or falsification
- Image or figure manipulation
- Improper authorship
- Citation manipulation
- Ethics violations in human or animal research
Prevention Measures
To minimize the risk of research misconduct, IJDTSC implements the following preventive practices:
- Plagiarism checks using software tools (e.g., iThenticate or Turnitin) before peer review.
- Ethical compliance checks for studies involving human or animal subjects.
- Strict authorship verification, including contributions, affiliations, and corresponding author declarations.
Handling Allegations of Misconduct
If an allegation of research misconduct is brought to the attention of the journal, whether before or after publication, the editorial team will take the following steps:
Initial Assessment
- The Editor-in-Chief will perform an initial evaluation of the complaint.
- If the concern is credible, the author(s) will be contacted for a response and clarification.
Investigation
- In serious cases, the matter may be referred to the author’s institution or funding agency for formal investigation.
- The journal may pause peer review or suspend publication until the issue is resolved.
Outcomes
- If misconduct is confirmed, the journal will take one or more of the following actions:
- Manuscript rejection (pre-publication)
- Retraction or correction (post-publication)
- Notification to author’s institution
- Banning of authors from future submissions, depending on severity
